Alessia Rovelli is Associate Professor in Numismatics in the ‘Dipartimento di Civiltà e Forme del Sapere’, Pisa University. Her research focuses on late antique and early medieval monetary history,and the interpretation of coin finds. She studied numismatic finds from several important Italian archaeological sites such as the Crypta Balbi (Rome), the Basilica Hilariana (Rome), the abbey of San Vincenzo al Volturno (Molise).
